Position Summary

The Water Restoration Estimator role is critical for the success of a restoration company, as they are responsible for creating estimates in Xactimate utilizing the program guidelines and IICRC standards.

We are currently searching for a full-time estimator to write estimates for water damage and follow up with both the customer and insurance adjuster for payment of the job. This is an entry level position that does not require experience, but the ideal candidate will have some experience in the water restoration/construction or insurance industry. They must be detail oriented and can build a job estimate with precision and efficiency. In addition, the candidate will have strong communication skills with both the customer and the insurance industry, strong computer skills and have some working knowledge of collections. This position is a hybrid role consisting of in office, on site and remote working locations. Compensation is commensurate   
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Generate initial scope from office setting and occasionally onsite visit with Lead Tech. 
  • Document loss with clear and descriptive job photos and upload into operating system/software
  • Writes mitigation estimates using Xactimate and other estimating software- this can be trained
  • Communicates conversations and key information from the job using the notes feature in required software
  • Estimates using carrier audit standards and manages the estimate based on feedback from client and customer
  • Communicates with lead tech to ensure all required documentation is complete (photos, notes and documents signed)
  • Record of Drying using mobile software- this can be trained
  • Determine labor and equipment costs
  • Communicate w/ insurance companies, and adjusters via phone and email in a timely manner and acts as a liaison 
  • Manage all estimate documents 
  • Addresses estimate exceptions in a timely manner
 
Requirements 
  • Administrative experience (in the restoration industry preferred) or service industry 
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented, able to work independently 
  • Outstanding organizational, time management and follow up skills 
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment 
  • Able to handle multiple projects at once 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a professional manner with customers and insurance industry 
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Xactimate experience a plus 
  • Valid Drivers License

Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
